Les Houches is a village located in Chamonix valley, in the French Alps. The Physics School is situated at 1150 m above sea level in natural surroundings, with breathtaking views on the Mont-Blanc mountain range. It has been welcoming physicists from around the world since 1951. The School has seen the biggest names in modern physics training young researchers at the start of their careers, some of whom have since won Nobel prizes for physics. 

Les Houches Physics School is run by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). The five school partners of are UGA, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA), the Institut National Polytechnique (Grenoble-INP), and the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon).
